Being Thankful on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is such a happy time. It's a time to spend time with family and friends. It's a time to be thankful for what we have, which we should be thankful for every day. I, for one, am thankful for such beautiful weather, even if it is a little chilly. I am thankful for good food that will be provided today.

I am thankful for my faith and that I am able to go to mass this morning. I am thankful for Jesus's sacrifice so that I have the hope of eternal life and salvation. What a gift that is.

I am thankful for my family, even though I will not be able to spend it with my mom, dad, or brother. I am thankful my mom does have a job. I am thankful for my extended family, who I will be spending thanksgiving with. I am thankful for the friends I do have, although I am not very good at keeping in touch... I hope they will forgive me.

I am thankful for the major I am in. I am thankful that I don't have to pay anything for school. I am thankful for the Catholic Student Association. I am thankful for the people there. I am thankful for Father Travis.

Most of all, I am thankful for turkey!

Just kidding! Or am I....

Most of all, I am thankful for my life. I am so very thankful, and I need to remember to thank God for them every day.

I hope that I will grow to be a great teacher who is compassionate and caring for the students I will one day (hopefully) teach.

And when I get there, I can refer to here for a fun activity!

Using candy corn to count

I think I want to eat this.... But this looks like a full little activity for youngsters and very hands-on.

I think that wraps up this post for today! Until next time!
